BUPAS Users

If you are using the Personal Assistance Scheme, or wish to use its services, you will have a disability or learning difficulty, for example you may:
  • Be blind or visually impaired
  • Be deaf or hearing impaired
  • Have mobility difficulties
  • Be a wheelchair user
  • Be dyslexic
  • Have mental health difficulties
  • Have an unseen disability or medical condition such as diabetes
  • Or asthma
  • Or you may have a disability or learning difficulty not referred to above
the list is not meant to be definitive. BUPAS staff will do their best to provide whatever support you have been assessed for on an individual basis.

If you are not yet using the scheme, you can make an appointment with a disability adviser to find out about getting support by using the links below in the 'Getting Support' section.

Also take a tour of a powerpoint presentation 'Induction to the Personal Assistance Scheme for Users' .

Also read comments from support workers and users of the service from surveys. This includes negative and positive opinions.
